The Mudcats, The Hipshot Blues Band, and Big Walter & The Rhythm Shifters will reunite at The Loft as part of the international Blues For Peace concert, which raises money for the United Nations Refugee Agency.
They will be joined by former Warrnambool guitarist Luke Watt.
Event organiser Larry Lawson, who is a member of The Mudcats and Big Walter & The Rhythm Shifters, said the gig was “a goodwill gesture to promote the blues and do something good for people around the world”.
Lawson said the night was also a great way to see bands that hadn’t played since the ‘80s and ‘90s when blues acts played regularly at the Tatts, the Lady Bay, the Cri and the Cally. The night will also feature an “all-star jam” including the likes of Marco Goldsmith, Nuck Stewart, Wally Edney, and more.
Doors open at The Loft from 8pm on Friday.
