The three are Edward Conheady of Noorat, John Harlock who has dairy interests in both Warrnambool and near Naracoorte in South Australia and David Parkinson near Koroit.
The three have more than 100 years collective experience in the industry and will tell how they survived previous crises.
The meeting has been organised by the Wannon branch of the United Dairyfarmers of Victoria (UDV) to help local dairy farmers grapple with the setback of the recent big cuts to milk prices.
The 7pm meeting at the City Memorial Bowls Club in Cramer Street will also include a talk by Steve Spencer from Freshagenda.
Mr Spencer is a specialist in the dairy industry and has been engaged in developing future long-range scenarios for the industry’s future development and direction.
He has managed projects exploring the future prospects for agrifood industries, including the recent Horizon 2020 project for the dairy sector, and other projects that have investigated the workings of the Australian food industry value chains. He can provide insights into food industry trends and national and global market analyses.
Also attending the meeting to help farmers seeking advice will be representatives from banks, WestVic Dairy and rural financial counsellors.
Dinner will be provided at no cost and RSVPs to UDV Wannon branch secretary Chris O’Keefe on 0428 692416 are essential.
Mr O’Keefe said numbers would be capped at 250 and more than 150 people had booked by Tuesday.
