POLICE detectives from the major fraud investigation unit were yesterday granted permission in court to interview an Allansford man charged with arson.
Robert Conn, 67, of Grauers Road, appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court yesterday and magistrate Jonathan Klestadt granted the police permission to interview Mr Conn in relation to fraud offences.
It is understood the fraud unit will focus attention on Mr Conn’s involvement in a number of alleged activities.
Earlier in the week Detective Senior Con-stable Richard Hughes, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, alleged in court that there were four police investigations currently involving Mr Conn.
It is understood the fraud unit is taking over a number of investigative avenues in relation to Mr Conn.
