FESTIVAL: The Robert Burns Scottish Festival begins with the Deer Stalkers Dinner at Camperdown’s historic Theatre Royal with guest speaker Dr Peter Hughes. The festival continues on Saturday.
SATURDAY
FOOTBALL: Hampden hosts Ovens and Murray in interleague at Reid Oval. The under 19s start at 11am with the seniors at 1pm.
BASKETBALL: Warrnambool Seahawks host Keilor Thunder at the Arc in Big V division one action on Saturday night. Tip off is at 8pm.
THEATRE: Gold the Ultimate ABBA Show at the Lighthouse Theatre. Unleash your inner Dancing Queen on the 40th anniversary of the release of one of the group’s most famous songs. Show starts at 8pm.
MARKET: TM Market will be supporting the Making Waves Conference 2016. Located at the Lighthouse Theatre, Timor Street, Warrnambool at 12:00pm.
MUSIC: The Harlots & The Pretty Littles co-headliner with Blackwood Jack at the Loft from 9:00pm.
SWAP: Bring your excess lemons, herbs, preserves and fruit etc to swap with others at the Koroit Community Produce Swap. Held at the Healing House, Commercial Road, Koroit from 10am until 12pm.
SUNDAY
MUSIC: Lee Kernaghan’s The Songs And The Stories In Concert will take the audience through his amazing musical career as he performs many of his big hits and shares for the very first time the stories behind the songs. Show starts at 8pm at the Lighthouse Theatre.
HISTORY: World Museum Open Day. Entry is free to Warrnambool’s Heritage sites including Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village, Warrnambool Art Gallery and Warrnambool Historical Society.
FOOD: Flavours of India Cooking Class, Allansford Hall. Come and learn how to cook an authentic Indian feast. Contact Sophie Wright.
WALKING TOUR: Join Friends of the Warrnambool Botanic Gardens for a guided tour of one of Warrnambool’s most iconic landmarks. Tour starts at 2:30pm.
WORKSHOP: Dry stone walling workshop with Alistair Tune. Come and learn the art of dry stone walling at Nature’s Way Eco-Sanctuary, Rosebrook. Program runs from 8:00am until 4:30pm and includes morning tea, BBQ lunch and instruction booklet.
FESTIVAL FINALE: The Robert Burns Festival Finale Concert winds up the weekend’s activities with the Warrnambool Pipes and Drums, The Drowsy Maggies and Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club.
