Williams led in Hollow Log and then backed up to quinella the following race when Like The Clappers ($4.2) ran down stablemate Our Bottino ($3.20 favourite), kicking on to win by four lengths.
The trainer said it was excellent Warrnambool horsemen had led in the first five winners on Thursday.
"The locals are dominating, like they should be," he said with a laugh.
"Like The Clappers was really good at Terang last start on the firm ground and today's track really suited him. He loves this sort of going.
"I thought Our Bottino was really brave in defeat. He had to do all the work into the wind, while Like The Clappers got the lovely sucker run," he said.
Jockey Mark Zahra said said he was confident a long way from the finish line.
"I had them covered a long way out," he said.
"He then had to run down his stablemate but he just loved the going. He never changed stride. Matty Williams' horses are really flying," he said.
