FOOTBALL: It’s Hampden Football League’s match of the season so far. Reigning premier Koroit takes on powerhouse North Warrnambool Eagles at Bushfield.
ART: Camperdown and District Hospital Auxiliary presents A Brush with Life – the 2016 Art Show for Residents of Corangamite Shire. At the Guide Hall, corner of Manifold and Brooke streets, Camperdown on Saturday and Sunday. Inquiries to Jo on 045 892 6011.
DANCE: Old-time and Scottish dancing at the Anglican Church Hall, Koroit Street, Warrnambool from 8pm. Supper provided. All welcome.
BASKETBALL: A home double-header for the Warrnambool Seahawks this weekend. On Saturday the Seahawks take on Melton at 8pm and Melbourne University on Sunday at 3pm. All mothers who attend with their child or children will gain free entry and a glass of champagne and nibbles.
PETS: Charity dog wash from 8.30am to 11.30am at the Warrnambool Veterinary Clinic. All proceeds to rare cancer research.
ART: Open studio day at The Artery in Timor Street, Warrnambool. Open from 10am to 3pm.
Sunday
ANNUAL EVENT: Mother’s Day Classic, 3km or 7km walk or run along the promenade, raising money for breast cancer research.
MUSIC: Warrnambool Symphony Orchestra will perform at St Joseph’s Church, Warrnambool. Commencing at 2.30pm with principal guest conductor Angus Christie and visiting and local soloists.
HISTORY: Replanting of the south end of Battery Hill Cannon Park, Port Fairy with Indigenous plants. The event includes a barbecue, cannon-firing and talk about the history.
