John Allen, Gingerboy, first: “I've done most of the schooling on him. He's always been a very natural jumper. He's obviously a bit hard going and can pull a bit and stuff like that but he's always been very natural and clever with his front feet. He's very, very quick on his feet. He is a really good learner.”
Jamie Mott, Arch Fire, second: “It was a great run. He was really brave. He will be better suited when they’re in the set-weights jumps races.”
Shane Jackson, Yolanda Be Cool, third: “Super run for a horse that's still eligible for a maiden hurdle.”

Patrick Flood, King Of Dudes, fourth: “Good effort considering his goals are feature jumps races later in the year.”
Richard Cully, Wells, fifth: “It was a good effort. It probably told on him having his first jumps start in this campaign over the concluding stages. He will be a lot better with the run under his belt.”
Aaron Lynch, Diamond Jim, sixth: “He was just run off his legs in the whole race.”
Clayton Douglas, About The Journey, seventh: “I thought he travelled well in the run but was found wanting in the end.”
Paul Hamblin, Stand Again, eighth: “He's just more dour this year than last year.”
Braidon Small, Big Ben Chimes, ninth: “He was outclassed … looking for an easier race.”
Brad McLean, Tuscan Fire, failed to finish: No comment.
