Lord Tennyson won from the Matthew Williams-trained Lady Selkirk and Daniel Bowman-trained Just Got Lucky in the three-year-old VOBIS across 1400 metres on Tuesday.
Chow, a dairy farmer by trade, was rapt with the result.
“He travelled nicely and he had them all chasing him, so it was good,” he said.
“The idea was to come to this race because of the VOBIS bonuses, so it’s good.”
Chow bred Lord Tennyson from the mare Martina Star.
“She’s had five fouls for us now and four have won races, so she's been really good to us,” he said.
Jockey Jarrod Fry said Lord Tennyson had dug deep when required.
"He fought on really well. He fought on well at Cranbourne last start," he said, when Lord Tennyson was beaten less than a length at Cranbourne.
"He trailled well before the Cranbourne run.
“It's super to ride a winner for Peter Chow, Stuey Bishop and all the boys. They will be rapt.”
