The Saints have announced 2015-16 coach Dom Johnson has stood down from the role and will be moving to Melbourne.
Johnson led the Saints to a WDCA division two semi-final appearance in his only season in the top job.
It was the first time Koroit had made the division two finals since winning the premiership back in 2008-09.
Koroit remains the only club in the WDCA without a division one team.
Koroit president Jarron McDonald said the club is on the search for a new leader.
“As a club, our aim is to get a division one team so getting the right man to move us towards that goal is very important,” McDonald said.
“We hope to lock someone in as soon as possible. If we can land the right person it then gives us the time to lure more players to the club.
“We are open to either a playing or non-playing coach, it is all about what we think best suits where we are hoping to head.
“Everyone who played last year has committed to come back again which is great.”
McDonald praised the role played by Johnson.
As well as making the semi-finals, Koroit was also runner-up in the division two one-day final.
“We were really happy with the job Dom did,” McDonald said.
“He took us to a place we hadn’t been for a long time and lifted the professionalism around the club. He brought some new ideas in with him.”
