Police are hunting for a man who broke into a service station while wearing a mask of a type popularised by the movie V for Vendetta.

The man smashed his way into the service station on Upper Heidelberg Road in Heidelberg Heights about 3am on April 24.
The would-be thief then attempted to break into an ATM but was unsuccessful.
Police have released CCTV footage showing the burglar wearing a Guy Fawkes mask, which have also become associated with the hacker group Anonymous.
