Koroit police Sergeant Pat Day said a white Toyota corolla was heading north on Southern Cross Road when it failed to give way at the cross-roads. He said it collided with a Subaru four-wheel drive travelling west on the Koroit-Mailors Flat Road.
Sergeant Day said the Subaru spun around and crashed into a fence, narrowly missing a concrete power pole and the Corolla continued for another 22 metres into a paddock.
“Its two occupants, two international farm workers aged in their 30s, were trapped inside the car and the SES had to cut them free.
“Both had non-life threatening injuries. The female suffered head injuries and the male had chest injuries.
“The driver of the Subaru, a man in his 40s, managed to get himself out and was assisted by a couple of passers by. He had a leg injury.”
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said all three were taken to the Warrnambool Base Hospital.
