The Bulldogs’ 41-40 triumph on Saturday improved their Warrnambool and District league A grade record to 2-3.

White said the performance would boost Panmure’s morale.

“We have had a few bad weeks and it was really good to finally get a win under our belts and know we can do it and get some positivity back into the club,” she said.

“We’ve put the hard work in at training and it’s starting to pay off now.”

White said the Bulldogs found a way to work in front in a match which ebbed and flowed.

“It was a really tough game; it could have gone to either team in the last quarter,” she said.

“I was so excited we won.”

Kolora-Noorat moved a game clear of South Rovers after a strong final term propelled the Power to a 42-29 win at Walter Oval.

Power coach Faye Clark was rapt to score a third win from five games.

“At three-quarter-time the difference was five goals, so to come away and win by 13 goals in the end showed it was a really strong last quarter for us,” she said.

“We were able to stay a little bit more focused than they did and, to me, that was the difference.”

Clark hurt her ankle in the dying stages but expects to play against Russells Creek next weekend.

“It’s nothing serious. I landed the wrong way,” she said.

“I came off in the last three minutes.

“It was more precautionary than anything.”

Allansford coach Kim Jamieson scored a victory over her old side Deakin University at The Pond.

Jamieson, who admitted it was “really hard” coaching against her former club, said the Cats’ versatility was the key in their 38-26 triumph.

She altered the team at half-time but started with former Cobden jet Jess Rohan in the midcourt.

“Bec Hunt was back from injury and played at goal attack and that gave us an opportunity to put Jess Rohan in centre which gave us a lot of height,” Jamieson said.

Unbeaten Merrivale thrashed winless East Warrnambool 66-39 and second-placed Dennington accounted for Timboon Demons 56-17.
