The Crossley-trainer said Forgeress may run in Warrnambool's Wangoom Handicap on Wednesday if she does not get conditions to suit at Caulfield.
"Ideally, I want the mare to run in town on Saturday against her own class, but I will be dictated to by the state of the track,” Scott said.
“I've got to 7am on Saturday morning to decide if we go to town or not.
"She's drawn barrier 15 at Caulfield, which is not ideal, but she is running in her own class.
“We've put her in the Wangoom, but she will be down in the acceptances.
“We'll just wait and see what happens on Saturday morning."
Scott said he will try and chase a black type race with Forgeress at Morphettville in three weeks’ time.
"She's been a very honest mare," he said.
"We want to increase her value as a brood mare and to do that we've got to head to Adelaide with her before she goes to the breeding barn later this year."
From her 25 starts, Forgeress has notched up five wins and 12 minor placings.
Ciaron Maher will attempt to win his third consecutive race with Tan Tat Charger – who was formerly trained by Peter Moody – when he lines up in an $80,000 three-year-old race.
