The Terang Mortlake export defied an injury-interrupted pre-season to earn a senior call-up in round one of the 2014 season.
Taylor, 21, has stayed in Brisbane’s best 22 ever since, winning the coveted AFL rising star award in his first season and becoming a consistent contributor for the rebuilding Lions.
Another south-west export, Greater Western Sydney coach Leon Cameron, will also reach a mini milestone this weekend.
The former South Warrnambool midfielder, who played 256 games for Western Bulldogs and Portland, will coach his 50th game when the Giants tackle reigning premier Hawthorn at Spotless Stadium on Saturday.
