Waterhouse has booked champion jockey Damien Oliver to ride her imported galloper Cafe Society in the $200,000 Warrnambool Cup while Irish born jumps jockey Tom Ryan is to ride Valediction in the $300,000 Grand Annual Steeplechase.
Waterhouse said she is excited to have runners next Thursday.
“I can't wait till next Thursday,” she said. “It's the first time I've had runners in the feature races.
“I've booked Damien to ride Cafe Society. He ran eighth in the Sydney Cup last time. I reckon he'll be really suited to the Warrnambool Cup.
“I'll probably run Valediction in the Brierly on Tuesday before lining up in the Grand Annual.”
Meanwhile, Darren Weir's boom galloper Raw Impulse will not run in next week's $200,000 Warrnambool Cup but might line up in a $40,000 open handicap on the opening day of the Warrnambool Carnival on Tuesday.
Raw Impulse has toyed with his opposition in two Australian starts winning the races in easy fashion at Moonee Valley and Caulfield last Saturday.
The ease of the victories had many pencilling a start in the Warrnambool Cup but Weir's Warrnambool satellite stable foreman Jarrod McLean said he will not tackle the 2350-metre race.
“Raw Impulse shows plenty of potential but he's only racing against benchmark horses,” McLean said.
“His two Australian wins have been very impressive. He's just climbing the ladder but at this stage Weiry just wants to take him through his classes.
“He may go around in the open handicap next Tuesday.”
McLean was thrilled with the track work of last year's Melbourne Cup winner Prince Of Penzance at Terang on Tuesday as he prepares for the $150,000 group 3 Richard Lee Stakes at Morphettville on May 21.
“We galloped Prince Of Penzance over 1000 metres with Michelle Payne in the saddle,” he said.
“Prince Of Penzance worked strongly. He's going really well. He's on track to run in the Lee Stakes.”
Prince Of Penzance will have a track gallop between races four and five next Tuesday at the Warrnambool May Carnival.
