Mount Eccles National Park worker fined for careless driving

A 24-YEAR-OLD Eaglehawk man working at the Mount Eccles National Park has received an infringement notice for careless driving after almost rolling his vehicle on Friday.

Senior Constable David Rook, of Macarthur police, said the man was travelling back to the park on the gravel Sparrow Road when he took a corner too fast.

“He almost rolled the vehicle on to a private nature strip before correcting and driving off,” he said.

“Several witnesses nearby saw the man’s manner of driving and reported it to police. The man was fined $338 and lost three demerit points as part of his careless driving infringement notice.”
