The Shane Smith-coached side has won its past six tournament grand finals, making it one of the teams to beat at the Bendigo competition.
Smith said his 10-player roster was well prepared for the three-day showcase, which starts on Friday.
“They move the ball well and have had a pretty successful year so far,” he said.
“It is a really balanced team.
“There is a good mix of big and small players, so that is really good, and the thing they do well is train really hard.”
Smith said the Seahawks were quietly confident of making an impression but were wary of complacency.
“We are aiming for the division one championship,” he said.
“We have played a lot of the stronger teams leading up to this weekend.
“On the long weekend in January in Bendigo we played a combination of metro and country teams, performed well and won the tournament.
“That is a measuring stick of how you’re performing.”
Smith said the Seahawks were excited to fight for a country title.
“The boys are confident they can match it with any team that comes their way but it will be fairly hard and tough because there are a lot of games,” he said.
“It has a bit to do with fatigue as well.”
George Stevens, Luamon Luol, Oliver Smith, Rupert Morley, Pwoch Akoch, Sam Stacey, Zac Dyson, Conor Byrne, Zac Griffin and Finn O’Sullivan make up the Seahawks’ under 12 team.
Warrnambool won the under 16 country championship earlier this year.
