DRIVERS are being urged to properly monitor their alcohol intake after two men lost their licences at Portland during the weekend.
Police charged a 20-year-old Narrawong man with being over .05 and suspended his licence after he was detected driving with a blood-alcohol content of .110.
A 39-year-old Portland driver also had his licence suspended after recording a reading of .073 when pulled over by police.
Senior Sergeant Russell Tharle said one of the men was caught on Saturday afternoon and the other later that night. “Both of them had been drinking at friends’ places. The message is count your drinks and know what you are doing,” he said.
