Weir, who has a satellite stable in Warrnambool, was unlucky not to have had five winners when Lucky Hussler ran second in the $500,000 C.F. Orr Stakes.
Weir said his four winners – Falago, Mahuta, Burning Front and Tuscan Sling – have all worked in Warrnambool at different stages of their preparations.
"Tuscan Sling and Burning Front have been trained at our Warrnambool satellite stable for the last few months," he said.
"Falago and Mahuta had been working in Warrnambool, but we send them back to Ballarat.
‘We're always switching horses between our Ballarat and Warrnambool stables.
“We just try and find what is suitable for all our horses, whether it be the beaches and dunes at Warrnambool or the facilities at Ballarat.”
Bowman scored his first metropolitan double when Just Got Lucky and Society Man won.
Just Got Lucky followed up his maiden win at Warrnambool last month with the win over Danuki and Glib, while Society Man defeated Well Sprung and Fast Cash.
Maher – who has stables at Caulfield and uses pre-training facilities with Warrnambool trainers – led in the last two winners at Moonee Valley when Here To There and Tucano saluted on Friday night.
