Joey Chatfield (under 16s), Damian Noonan (under 14s), Mark Suter (under 12s) and Damian Dobson (Auskick) are the junior football coaches for 2016.
They will have two extra resources in former Hampden interleague coach Nick O’Sullivan (coaching support) and former AFL player and Hampden league premiership coach Brian Brown (coaching mentor).
Maree Lane will coach the under 12s netball and Millie Mahony the under 16s.
Koroit Junior Football Netball Club president Alistair McCosh said the club is excited about the coaching team it has in place.
“We have a really good mix of coaches and having Brian and Nick on board is such a valuable asset,” McCosh said.
“There will be a continued emphasis on engagement with the senior club and Adam Dowie is really keen to see that happen.”
McCosh said numbers throughout the junior football and netball grades are strong. He said the under 16s football is the one group where numbers are short.
“It is one of those anomalies that happen, we are a bit light on,” McCosh said.
“The club is strong on participation and we would welcome any new players who are keen for a game.
“I think the coaching team we have makes us an attractive place for families to come and be part of.”
The juniors started training on Wednesday night at Victoria Park and will continue to build towards the start of the season.
