Organiser Gail Cullen said the former students, now aged in their sixties, would be given a tour of the school by deputy principal Kerrin McKenzie followed by an afternoon tea in the school’s kitchen garden. The tour will be followed by a social evening at the Terang hotel.
Ms Cullen said the reunion was the first by the class and had attracted an excellent response from the up to 90 people who were Form One students in 1966.
She said educational aspirations were different in 1966. Sport was a big focus and she estimated less than 10 of the Form One students went on to matriculate.
Former student Pamela Dowling, who has recently retired from teaching in Warrnambool, will be master of ceremonies and another former student Jim Sams will be among those to regale the gathering with stories of their school days.
