Committee member Paul Daffy said the club had some concerns that players might drift away after an initial surge of support for the club when it relocated to the Timor Street squash courts, but instead numbers had increased slightly.
“The pennant numbers are strong again,” he said.
“We’re back and running and we’re here to stay.
“We’ve got more players now than at the Action Squash centre (two years ago).”
Monday night pennant has increased from 50 participants to 55 – with 11 teams of five players – but Daffy said that was due largely to players changing nights they played, with the Wednesday night pennant decreasing from nine teams of four to eight teams.
The junior pennant will start next Monday, with games played from 5.30pm to 7pm.
