After trialling a four-season set-up last year, in line with the school terms, treasurer Anthony Smith said the association would return to its summer and winter competitions for 2016.
“(Last year) was an opportunity to explore whether two-term seasons were too long, so we experimented with a one-term season,” he said.
“But it felt like we didn’t have an authentic, full-term season, so we’re going to revert to the traditional seasons.”
The season kicks off Tuesday night, with division two mixed games from 6.30pm and division one men’s and women’s from 8pm.

Smith said all were welcome to attend, with the association on the lookout for more division one players to add to the mix.
The association is also gearing up for its 42nd annual Seaside Tournament, which will be held on the Labour Day long weekend, from March 12-14.
“We get 70 teams and it’s a good injection for the association,” Smith said.
“We get people coming from interstate and Melbourne – all the top state players use it as a warm-up for their season.”
