The Crabs set out to defend a score of 188 on Saturday and they were able to do just that, bowling Panmure out for 110 in the 47th over.
The star of the win was all-rounder Liam Cole who took 5-17 from his 11 overs. He received good support from Daniel Jones (2-21) from 13.4 tight overs.
Panmure has now lost its last two games, a rarity for a team that has dominated the competition for a long period of time.
The Bulldogs have now slipped to third place on the ladder with a tough game against Grassmere ahead of them.
The Crabs have moved along quietly this season, but this, their fifth win in a row, will mean they will no longer be flying under the radar.
The team that has been making all the headlines this season, Purnim, were at it again on Saturday with a big win over Yambuk.
At Rodger Henderson Oval, the Buks batted first on day one and got themselves to 110. Purnim made a neat job of the run chase, finishing with 2-112 from 28 overs.
Brad McLean top scored with 44 while Richard McKellar was steady at the top of the order with 34.
The only wicket-taker for Yambuk was Connor Umbers who took 2-21 from seven overs.
Yambuk then batted a second time and gave the Purnim bowlers some stiff opposition.
Openers Patrick Sinnott (81) and Kym Eagleson (60) got the innings away to a flyer before their dismissals dragged it back Purnim’s way.
At stumps, Yambuk ended with 4-166 from 45 overs.
