A SPREAD of contributors with the ball was the key factor in Merrivale’s Warrnambool and District Cricket Association Hopkins conference win over Brierly-Christ Church on Saturday. The Tigers were defending a big score of 277 with Brierly-Christ Church having a go at running it down, captain Leigh Pollard leading the way with an unbeaten 86. But the Bulls fell short, all out for 217. For Merrivale, Josh Stapleton and Luke Pearson took three wickets each.
