The penultimate round of Saturday pennant commences this weekend with all divisions having the potential for major shake-ups in the top four over the next two weeks.

In first division, the final four is finalised, although mathematically Mortlake Blue could make it.
The real interest is in the top two spots, with very little separating Warrnambool Gold, City Memorial Red and Koroit Blue. A loss to anyone of these teams will see them miss the double chance.
In division two Dennington White, Warrnambool Red and Port Fairy Blue are all trying to grab third and fourth spot.
There are six teams vying for the finals in division three and in division four there are seven teams with a realistic chance of making it.
The West Coast Region singles and fours were played at Camperdown Bowls Club last Sunday.
In the singles final, Western District Bowls Division won the women’s over Corangamite Bowls Division, with Kellie Bowles defeating Carmel Watson 26 to 3.
The men’s were won by Corangamite Bowls Division, with Gary Body defeating Western District Bowls Division’s Les Johnson 25 to 19.
The region’s fours finals were both won by Far Western Bowls Division.
In the men’s, Peter Webster (skipper), Ron Reynolds, Ted Leahy and Jeff Baulch defeated Neville Lynch (skipper), Barry Crimmin, Bill Tory and Kevin Carlin 26 to 16.
The women’s winners were Robyn Thomassen (skipper), Irene McGrath, Wendy Colcott and Beryl Povey, who defeated Faye Bolden (skipper), Pauline Elliott, Shirley Hoadley and Maureen Gavin 20 to 9.
This Sunday will see the regions finals of the pairs and mixed pairs at City Memorial Bowls Club.
Letters have gone out to all clubs in the region from the Men’s Region Selection Committee asking for names of players to be forwarded to respective division selection committees for consideration in the group trial day to be held on April 10.
This day will see the best bowlers in the region vying for 12 spots in the group side to contest the state event.
In the only club news to come in, City Memorial has just completed its ladies’ club triples.
The winners were Trina Dycer, Shirley Brown and Wendy Jelbart, who defeated Barbara Bibby, Glenda, Ritchie and Sally Madden.
