Thunder Point cliff danger warning for fishermen

Fears were yesterday raised for four people fishing off Warrnambool’s Thunder Point near where a woman fell to her death almost two months ago.

The Melbourne woman, 56, fell about 30 metres from a cliff’s edge to rocks below on Sunday, August 12, suffering head injuries which led to her death.

Warrnambool policeman Sergeant Dave McDonald yesterday warned people about the dangers of fishing near the cliff edge.

He said it appeared the people had put themselves at some risk and warned others to be aware of the dangers.
