Hailed as one of the leading Celtic bands in Australia, they will perform at the festival for the first time since 2012.
The Borderers are also on the bill at this year’s Port Fairy Folk Festival, where they have played many times over the past two decades.
Joining The Borderers at the Koroit Irish Festival on April 29-May 1 will be Warrnambool trio The Likely Celts, who will be making their first appearance in Koroit having already wowed audiences at the National Celtic Festival.
They released their self-titled debut album – which combined traditional Irish and Scottish sounds with hints of reggae, pop and jazz – in 2014.
Also on the bill is Ballarat’s Old Melbourne Road, A Rose & Thorns featuring Maria Forde, south-west group Cill-Airne and young act Zeon.
Tickets are on sale for the event through the official festival website.
