The brash, dirty and rude antics of DCR are a welcome reminder of all that rock 'n' roll was and should be.

The Melbourne-based band spent much of 2015 blowing away crowds large and small in Germany, France, Belgium and Austria, including sharing festival stages with the likes of Saxon and Black Label Society.
They’re home for summer and doing a major east coast tour that includes a stopover at The Loft in Warrnambool on Friday night with support from Altered Minds.
Since forming in 2007, Dead City Ruins have supported Mastodon, Diamond Head, Skid Row, and Ugly Kid Joe and played music festivals across Europe.
In 2011 they did a run of 50 shows across Europe, culminating in a slot at the Metal Music Festival in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Also coming up at The Loft this weekend is Ballarat band Apes, who just finished a national tour supporting British rockers The Darkness.
They play on Saturday night at The Loft alongside Destrends and Warrnambool’s Blackwood Jack.
