THREE people were issued with infringement notices after anti-social behaviour in the Warrnambool streets overnight Saturday.
Warrnambool police Ser-geant Chris Asenjo said two people were issued with penalty notices valued at $560 each after being caught urinating in the street about 9.30pm on Saturday.
He said there was another man found drunk in the street about 1.45am on Sunday outside the Whalers Hotel and he was issued with an infringement notice worth about $600.
“The drunk spent four hours in the cells and received a $600 fine which made it a pretty expensive night out,” Sergeant Asenjo said.
“We jumped in an unmarked police car for a while and issued a few tickets to people cutting laps for failing to stop at stop signs and crossing double lines.”
Sergeant Asenjo said officers also checked about 20 licensed premises in the city, ensuring businesses were complying with regulations and found most patrons were well behaved. “It was very pleasing,” he said.
