DANCE: Robins School of Dance adds a cinematic theme to their traditional year-ender concert. The Lighthouse Theatre will come alive from 7pm to showcase ‘Welcome to the Movies’, a vibrant dance production featuring music and dance. Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap and Contemporary dance will feature on the night.
CAROLS ON THE MERRI: The event will kick off at 5pm at the Payne Reserve.The night includes Christmas Carols presented by school children and local artists to the community of Dennington and district. Food stalls also available for attendees to purchase food and drinks.
SATURDAY:
TENNIS: Tennis tyrants will take it out on the court at the Warrnambool Lawn Tennis Junior Pennant. Competition begins 9.30am Saturday at the Warrnambool Lawn Tennis Club, Pertobe Road.
TOWER HILL CHALLENGE: The Tower Hill challenge is on again after a successful debut last year. The event includes a 6km and 15km run through the state game reserve ending at the Koroit Football Netball Club's home ground. Local bands, food and drinks at Victoria Park will follow including the presentation of the various category winners.
SUNDAY:
HILLSIDE MARKET: Local stalls full of unique gift ideas and tasty Christmas foods will be set up on Warrnambool's Civic Green from 9am. Includes live music by local musician Cooper Lower.
CHARITY LUNCHEON: The Kristen Pickford luncheon is on at Terang’s Dalvui Raceway. Starting at 11am it includes a silent auction, raffles, lucky door prizes, a spinning wheel and major auction prizes, including a guitar signed by Lee Kernaghan. Tickets are $40, tables of 10 are still available.
CHRISTMAS MARKET: The annual artists’ market, run by the F Project starts at 10am in Warrnambool’s Fletcher Jones Gardens. There will be music from a variety of artists and magic by Dr Nick.
HISTORY: The Camperdown and District Historical Society will open a new display at the Camperdown Heritage Centre entitled Inspiring Women - Out of the shadows. Doors open 10am. $2 entry fee.
