Sharma’s 10.12-second gift triumph followed on from his win in the 70-metre open final earlier in the day.
Benjamin Farrell won the under 20 100-metre final, while Shane Quinn took out the 100-metre masters and 300-metre open finals.
Michelle Corkerell won the 100-metre women’s gift off a handicap of 7.75 metres, finishing in 11.58 seconds, while last year’s women’s gift winner Samantha Hargreaves won the Jayne McMeel Vase 300-metre women’s/masters final.
Dean Stojanovic took out the 400-metre restricted final, Chris Bramham the 550-metre open final and Oscar Robinson the 3200-metre final.
Stawell Athletic Club committee member Kate Williamson said the longer-distance race provided the greatest thrill of the day, coming right down to the wire.
“In the end, there was only three-tenths of a second in it,” she said.
“It was the most exciting race of the day. It was absolutely amazing to watch them – it was neck-and-neck.”
