A sailor contacted The Standard and said 19 was the total number of one crew, but because the ship operates on a two crew system, 38 jobs were at risk. Two trainees also work on the ship taking the total number of jobs to 40.
The ship remains docked in the Port of Portland, with the crew refusing to sail on it’s final voyage to Singapore, despite the Fair Work Commission ordering a stop to industrial action.
