Adam William Cronin, 28, of Holden Street, appeared in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to possessing ice, using ice, possessing ammunition and driving under the influence of drugs.
Police withdrew a charge of trafficking ice.
The case had been adjourned to allow analysis of the substance. A spot test returned positive to crystal methylamphetamine.
The analysis was positive to ice.
Magistrate Ron Saines said the case was scheduled to be finalised on December 11. Cronin first appeared in court during June after his April arrest.
Police previously told the court Cronin was intercepted driving a Holden station wagon along Ferguson Street in Camperdown at 4pm on April 12.
Police asked him if there was anything in his vehicle and he replied: “Nothing, not unless you want that rock salt in the console.”
Officers found eight deal bags containing a white crystal substance.
On April 17 Cronin Cronin returned a positive oral fluid drug test to ice.
