Clissold is the first signing under new Terang Mortlake coach Paul Dirago, paving the way for the pair to recapture their dominant form which saw them kick a combined 148 goals in 2013 – their last season together.
“It should be good to go back with Sam, it was always good fun playing with him,” Clissold said.
Although Clissold played second fiddle that year – he kicked 64 goals to Moloney’s 84 – he led the way for the Power in 2015, kicking 54 goals from 13 matches.
Terang Recreation Reserve will be Clissold's third home in as many years.
The dynamic forward spent 2014 with Colac and District club Simpson, before returning to Kolora-Noorat where he was an assistant coach last season.
Clissold, whose only previous Hampden league experience was with Camperdown’s under 18 side, said the a move to the Bloods had been on the cards for a while.
"I think it was the right time. There's a fair bit of buzz about the club with the new coach coming in," he said.
"I know everyone at Terang Mortlake, all my mates play there so the transition will be easy."
Clissold said the knee issues that ruled him out of the Power's last two matches this year – including the losing elimination final – were behind him.
The triple Power premiership player sustained a fracture below the knee and partial tears to his anterior cruciate and medial ligaments when he landed awkwardly after jumping to be the third-man up in a ruck contest.
“I’ve had no trouble with it since the doctor said ‘give it five weeks’,” Clissold said.
The 24 year-old said he would be happy simply to get a game with the Bloods’ senior side next year.
But he has already made a good impression on his new coach.
“From what I can see, he’s got really good skills … the word around is that he can kick a fair few goals,” Dirago said.
