Penny, who will compete with the women’s trap B team on Saturday, said she hopes to build on her strong form from the recent South Australian titles.
“I’d like to post a high score, high 60s or low 70s … I got 71 out of 75 in Adelaide a few weeks ago,” she said.
Andrew, who won gold at the previous Oceania championships, spent last weekend training at Mildura and is keen to get some more sessions under his belt in Sydney ahead of the men’s double trap on Tuesday.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to go up there again and looking forward to the competition and hopefully posting a solid score,” he said.
The continental championship starts today and will run until December 4.
