Warrnambool City Council mayor Michael Neoh presided over the ceremony, where 28 people took the final step towards citizenship, pledging their allegiance to Australia.
The newest citizens came from all corners of the globe including Myanmar, The USA, Canada, Scotland, South Africa, England, India, The Philippines, New Zealand, Indonesia and Ireland.
Cr Neoh welcomed all new citizens to Warrnambool and thanked them for adding to the city’s cultural diversity.
“Congratulations to everyone who has made the commitment to Australia,” he said.
“There are people from all over the world who are making Australia their home, the country and our city are better for it.”
The next ceremony will be during Australia Day celebrations on January 26.
