Warrnambool’s Rotary clubs are shipping the vehicle to the Sariri village through Rotary Australia’s World Community Service Project early next year.
Rotary Club of Warrnambool member Tony Austin said panel beaters and spray painters could help give new life to the 1960 tractor.
”We’ve organised a couple of ex-tradies to give us a hand with mechanical work, but we need some people to help with the tin work on the tractor,” he said.
“It’s a bit tired and needs a good tidy up. It’s not a big job.”
Mr Austin said donations of tools and storage were essential to making a difference in the village.
“Everything in their storage shed is in boxes on the floor, so we need commercial pallet racking,” he said.
Mr Austin thanked Brauer College, RA Slater Engineering, Tyre Factory, Battery World, Wannon Water for joining the project.
