The Roosters have recruited Warrnambool and District league trio Manny Sandow, Tom White and Paddy Mahony as they begin their journey under new coach Mathew Buck.
Sandow and White will add height to the Roosters’ youth-laden list, while Mahony will provide versatility.
White and Mahony, a past Judd Cup winner, are returning to Friendly Societies’ Park after stints at Panmure.
Merrivale premiership player Sandow is new to the Hampden competition.
“Manny was a talented ruckman at Merrivale and I am excited to see if he can establish himself as a Hampden league ruckman,” Buck said.
“Paddy is training the house down. He’s a highly-skilled player and is working on his fitness.
“Tom is a great fella and as an assistant he can come here and help me.”
Sandow, 21, said he was excited to test himself at a higher level.
“The last three years I’ve been in Melbourne at uni and have driven down to play for Merrivale,” he said.
“This year I’ll be based in Warrnambool and thought being able to train two nights a week meant it was the right time to step up.”
White, 31, is studying teaching in Ballarat and pointed to a reduction in his workload for his decision to return to the Roosters.
He said he wanted to use the experience to add to his coaching repertoire.
