The Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia Warrnambool sub-branch president Don Roberts wants war veterans to make contact.
“It is the 50th anniversary of the battle of Long Tan in 2016 and we plan to commemorate this very important anniversary with a number of state-wide activities,” he said.
“We want all local veterans with us next year. 2016 is their time for their service to be recognised and acknowledged again, and the best way to do that is to join us and be part of the activities with your mates.”
