The Friends of Flagstaff Hill will share its collection of Victorian clothing at the event, which will raise money for both the maritime village and the Christ Church Heritage Bell Tower Appeal.
Organising committee member Pam King said it was the first time the joint event had been held and it would tell the tale of the nation’s early settlers.
“The fashion parade will have an immigration theme and will follow the journey of people’s embarkation in the UK to their disembarkation here in Australia,” Mrs King said.
About 15 people, including children, will model the Victorian garments, with commentary helping to tell the story.
The event, to be held on Wednesday, October 21, will also include afternoon tea, a raffle and trading table offering a variety of goods.
It will be held at Christ Church’s Hammond Centre, Henna Street, from 2pm.
