Both workshops are for people aged 15 to 25, with the mask-making session on Friday from 4pm at 99 Liebig Street (formerly Collins Books) and the filmmaking session at Brophy’s Timor Street office on Saturday from 10am.
The mask-making is part of Mental Health Week and will be followed by a masquerade ball at Mozart Hall on October 16.
The filmmaking workshop is being run in conjunction with Youth Affairs Council of Victoria (YACVic) and Storyscape, and will give participants practical filmmaking and storytelling skills while allowing them to create their own short film.
It also serve as an opportunity for YACVic to explore what is important for young people in the region, as YACVic is looking at Warrnambool as a potential home for a new office.
For more information about the workshops call 55618841.
Limited places are still available for the sessions.
