The pair were integral to Hawthorn's 16. 11. (107) to 8. 13. (61) grand final win over West Coast Eagles at the MCG on Saturday.
Both Hodge and Lewis are now four-time premiership players, adding a 2013-15 three-peat to the Hawks 2008 flag.
Lewis played his juniors at CBC before playing senior football at Warrnambool.
He was selected by the Hawks in the 2004 draft at pick number seven.
Hodge came from Colac and played his junior football and his first senior taste of seniors with the Tigers in the Hampden league before being snapped up by the Hawks as the number one pick of the 2001 draft.
Hodge has captained the 2013-15 premiership teams and won Norm Smith medals in 2008 and 2014.
The Hawks may have stamped themselves as one of the greatest teams of all time but Lewis said he was keen for more.
When asked if Hawthorn can extend it’s golden run, Lewis was confident the Hawks can remain in contention.
“I can’t see why not, we have guys that are hungry, guys that missed out today who will hopefully drive the group,” Lewis said.
“Myself, Hodgey, all the leaders really need to keep driving the group as well.
“We don’t want to sit back and be a mediocre side, we want to keep winning premierships.”
Both Hodge and Lewis were key players in the win over the Eagles.
As he has so often in the past Hodge was the Hawks general, popping up all over the ground to make an impact where needed.
He finished the day with 30 disposals and was fourth in Norm Smith medal voting, the medal this year going to brilliant Hawthorn half-forward Cyril Rioli.
Lewis spent most of the game on a wing and was also a prolific ball winner, racking up 26 possessions and five tackles in another polished display.
