The decision by the state government to cut rebates to solar panel owners is short-sighted and quite frankly a stupid decision.
Also it is very unfair of the government to deceive the public into believing that their increasing power prices are due to solar panels being installed in what amounts to an extremely small percentage of Victorian households.
The original rebate of 60 cents per kWh (kilowatt hour) over a long period of time, in my opinion, disadvantaged those who install after the initial period.
However, people would have to be very gullible to believe their high electricity bills were only due to this factor.
Unfortunately, the Victorian government is playing on the public’s general inability to think logically or see the big picture on major issues.
