Four-way tie in historic Maskell Medal count

FOUR players have sensationally tied in the Hampden football league's highest individual honour, the Maskell Medal.

Cobden brothers Levi and Joe Dare, Camperdown's Sam Chapman and Warrnambool's Tim Hunt were this afternoon crowned joint winners after a historic count at Warrnambool's City Memorial Bowls Club.

In a dramatic finish, all four polled votes in the final round but they were locked together on 19.

It was the first time four players have tied for the award.

Chapman's tie in the Maskell Medal completed a dominant day for Camperdown. The Magpies' wing attack Tracey Baker claimed her second win in the A grade netball best and fairest ahead of her team mate Leah Sinnott while Camperdown's Marcus Powling led home a quinella in the reserves football honour with his coach Stephen Fitzgerald second.
