A man has been arrested over an assault of a taxi driver in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs last week.
Police allege the taxi driver, 30, suffered facial injuries including a broken nose when he was assaulted and pulled out of his cab in Upwey about 1am last Monday.
It is alleged an argument broke out when the driver and his passenger argued when the man's EFTPOS card was declined.
Police said today that a 20-year-old man, from Upwey, had been interviewed and released pending a summons charge.
