Cycling Victoria this week released the 279.1-kilometre course for the historic 100th edition of the iconic race on October 17.
Riders set off from Werribee at 7.30am and hit the south-west when they arrive at Cressy. They ride to Lismore before heading south through Camperdown.
From there, riders head west on Fenton Street/Sadlers Road and then south down Cross Forest Road.
That takes them into Cobden. The course then heads through Cobrico and into Terang, linking up with the Princes Highway at Escourt Street.
The last 45.5 kilometres follow the Princes Highway, through Garvoc and Panmure, past Premier Speedway and into Warrnambool. Officials expect the first riders to arrive about 2.30pm.
The 300-rider field is the biggest to contest “The Warrnambool” since 1909, when a record 312 greeted the starter.
