Widely held perceptions suggest the Cramer Street ground is suited to reigning premier Merrivale, which boasts a list full of clean-skilled players who spread well.
But Parkinson backed his men to deliver at the home of football in Warrnambool, saying “I think we’ve got a pretty good mix of players”.
“We’re a pretty tall side, so the height match-ups are good and most those tall guys are pretty mobile as well,” he said.
“There’s no doubt at either end, forward and back, we match up well with them.
“But it’s the same with any game, if you can get first use inside (the contests), you give your forwards a chance one-out.
“We think we’ve got some good forwards down there. If we can win it out of the middle, what happens will happen.”
