ORGAN FESTIVAL: Heavenly music will sound from the city’s churches next weekend for the second annual Warrnambool Organ Festival. Six concerts will be held across the weekend, beginning with the opening concert, Two Organs at Once, at St Joseph’s.
DANCE: Old-time and Scottish dancing at the Anglican Church Hall, from 8pm. Supper provided, all welcome.
FOOTBALL/NETBALL: Hampden League Football and Netball qualifying final, Gardens Oval, Port Fairy. Senior football: Warrnambool vs North Warrnambool Eagles. A grade netball: North Warrnambool Eagles vs Camperdown. Warrnambool and District League Football and Netball preliminary final, Reid Oval. Senior football: Merrivale vs Allansford. A grade netball: Dennington vs Allansford.
SEWING WORKSHOP: Sewers are invited to come along to a sewing workshop at the Artery on Saturday from 10am. Bring along your sewing machine or overlocker and learn some basic sewing techniques with Elizabeth Young.
YOGA: Have a big belly laugh at laughter yoga on Saturday morning. Meet near the mini golf at Lake Pertobe from 9.30am.
MND Ball: The ball at Warrnambool College will include silent and live auctions, mystery bag raffles and finger food. Doors open at 7.30pm
SOMEWHERE BETWEEN DOMESTIC & WILD: The Artery, Warrnambool, until September 6. Shelley Knoll-Miller and Rachel Peters combine for this exhibition exploring domesticity and the need to run wild.
SMART ART: Portland Arts Centre, until September 18. Collection of art works by Portland Secondary College students from years 7 to 11.
DEVELOPER: WAG, until September 27. Collections of photographs by notable Warrnambool photographer John Wilkins.
AUSTRALIAN CHILDREN’S BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS: Blarney Books, Port Fairy, and Customs House Gallery, Hawkesdale, until October 4.
