The nine cricketers, ranging from their teens to 40s, will represent Warrnambool at the annual Penang Sixes tournament in Malaysian from September 5 to 7.
The team, dubbed the Warrnambool Sixes, is spearheaded by Russells Creek stalwart Jayaweera Bandara.
Creek teammates Nathan Divall, Charlie Locke, Nick Robertson, Dominic Bandara and Connor MacLeod, along with ex-clubman Jeremy Cook, will also head overseas.
They are joined by Mortlake pair Peter Harris and Ben Johnson. Dennis King and Andrew Robertson are also headed abroad as team managers.
The tournament, which features six-a-side, five-over matches, has attracted 16 teams from seven countries.
The Warrnambool Sixes will play three pool matches on Saturday and Sunday, with the prospect of knockout finals on Monday should they finish in the top-two.
Bandara said they were hoping to improve on their quarter-final appearance from last year, achieved with a different line-up.
“The experience was good. The side who won last year had four internationals playing for them,” he said.
"This year we're taking the young ones, there will be a lot of running for them.
"You have to go for runs all the time, you start looking for runs from the first ball, not blocking. Every ball you want one or two or three."
